Mrs76 surprised me yesterday by taking me for a few beers at the Elusive Brewing tap yard 😁👍🍻

It's a really tiny brewery (actually one of at least four very close to home) situated literally a stone's throw from Siren Craft Brew in the same industrial estate.

I particularly liked the Contraption Pale Ale and the Spellbinder Coffee Porter (although the weather was rather too warm for the latter! ☀️🥵)

If you're interested they actually have the recipe for the porter and one or two others on the website.

Looks good, homemade cool box? More info please.
Basically I bought one of those garden storage boxes and lined it with that silver bubble wrap insulation. It keeps the beer from getting too cold in the winter or too hot in the summer. At the minute it's perfect for anything amber to dark, and the pale ales only need about 10 mins in the fridge.

There's two layers of beer in there at the moment!

This beer intrigued me because of the addition of orange peel and coriander. I do like coriander but I think some people might find the coriander a bit much in this ale, it has a strong pepper/floral vibe going on and not a lot else comes through until the end where there is a fairly strong orange zest/pithy finish. I guess you get what it says on the tin but I wonder how many are ready for it! 😂

Yep in the brewcave 36c. Happily I'm back from the out laws in Orpington where I arrived with 8 tributes and 12 grolsch. Not sure I did those justice but a small price to pay for being back in my kingdom. Currently can't face addressing fobbing on keezer offerings so a 660 ml bottle of Morretti will have to suffice.

Sneak preview of my session IPA at the end of brew day clean up, needs another week in keg to carb properly. Big and bitter taste with a dry finish, just what I was looking for. Don’t think I’ll meddle with the grain bill. Getting more simcoe than amarillo on the palate. Will up the Amarillo in the hop stand next time. All in all, happy with it fir a first try at the style.

Trying @JFB all the Bret's.

On opening it jumped out of the bottle. Highly carbonated crystal clear, almost the colour of a glass of Chardonnay. Head fizzed away
Brett aroma is mild, this is a lovely drink. Well balanced with a real dry finish.
Thanks for sharing 👍
I will get something out shortly in return
