Asked my wife what she might like for tea. “Snacky tea” she says so I went to Sainsbury’s for a collection of our favourite snack foods. Just been pigging out on everything from smoked cheeses and meats, to sundried tomatoes and olives, burritos, satay, ...

Got some beers too, the 4 front and left I’ve never had before.

I’m starting with the Layer Cake. I can drink it (just) but shan’t be buying this one again.

Indeed! I have to say that when I thought of saison before I brewed mine I would have said it should look like yours though! Did you post the recipe for yours anywhere, I'd like some inspiration for another saison from you guys and @samale .
I will have two Saison for you to try in a few weeks. Sorachi ace and lemon.
Plus a lemon and rosemary rye Saison.

Great beer synchronicity today - ordered myself a set of Spiegelau glasses this morning as a little birthday weekend treat to myself, then picked up my 1st can of nitro stout this afternoon.
Not sure if the glass really is accentuating the rich malt, coffee and chocolate notes, but it's slipping down a treat 😂

Great glass set. I have managed to break all 3 🤬

I've had a few of a "spring beer" from Hughes book. Very nice, still hasn't cleared 100% but lovely drop. First time using wai-iti hops. The missus likes it too which is a shame :laugh8:

A glass of Cotes de Cascogne sitting looking over the loch wrapped in a fleece enjoying a surprise trip away organised by my OH 🥰. Right now in Scotland, the silk top and heels I picked for this evening don’t quite work with the COVID regulations on only drinking outside 🥶.

Cheers though 🍷

Had my Sierra Nevada clone. Only 11 days in the bottle but cleared and carbed great. Just tasted a tad more malty, possibly caramel like than expected... i used crisp 150 crystal for this and within 2 days brewed an own recipe eng ipa using slightly more fawcett 130 Crystal. Both should be around 18 ebc but in the fermenter the Sierra Nevada looked darker, but different yeasts were used so working differently on the wort. The ipa is too young to try, but i wonder is the different crystal malts have a big difference???

Have been trying to resist the urge to try the GH dry stout. Only 6 days in the bottle but very promising. Just have to try and leave them a bit longer now !!
