Today’s hair of the dog is this OSH. I saw mention of it on a thread recently and it made me fancy one. I’ve not had one of these for ages, it must be three or four years since someone bought me a gift pack for Christmas that included the glass in the picture.

The caramel & honeycomb flavours are far more pronounced than I remember and it puts me in mind of an awful sticky toffee pudding ale I was given - thankfully this ale doesn’t go as far.

Im always put off by the clear glass bottle, which is probably silly. Old Crafty hen sometimes tempts me, so theirs no logic in my adversion to clear glass!

Something completely unfamiliar for me. This is one of the beers I was bought for Christmas. You can smell smoke from about a metre away from the glass!

I don’t think I would ever brew one but I do like that one on occasion.

So before I cook dinner in a couple of hours, I thought I’d open another one of my concoctions.

This one is Blackforest wine. It’s a mixture of several dark fruits, ‘little pod’ chocolate extract and vanilla. Really yummy. It is 9 weeks old tomorrow.

Enjoying a nice golden Brett Saison in the sun. Carbonation is light but it tastes well.

I like Greene King beer but it is sickly, I went on a tour of the brewery that finshed off with an all you can drink tasting session but I dont think I managed more than a pint or two.

Arbor Massive Azzaca NEPA.

No I so not a NEIPA.

I'm enjoying this case. Lots of moderately strong (<6%) hoppy pales with crisp, clear flavours. Like the Pint size cans too.

Bitter black beer not really an in the sun beer but there is a cold wind blowing so I feel it’s justified.

One of my beers from the farm shop. I quite like this beer, it tastes fresh and citrusy with a clean soft mouthfeel. Nice.
