Blackberry wine, feeling fine ! ( hard day at work ...)

Bottled a gallon to enjoy young and got a couple left to mature.
First batch in about 30 years, og was 1084 finished at .996 - dry, rich berry fruity taste of autumn.

It was a kit and came with the option of dry or sweet. My wife is the one that likes cider though and she likes it medium sweet. It looks a bit flat in the picture, these are normally quite effervescent.
It was similar carbonation to a Lager I would say, but yes maybe a touch more carbonation but definitely not too sweet. Cheers for the bottle.
 
Had one of these this evening. Pretty standard pale ale flavourwise but it had a delicious coconut aroma to it that had me coming back for more. I should have bought more than one!

Scored a couple of free brewdog glasses at work aswell... Good thing too as my wife smashed mine a while back

Once more trying to step boldly, bravely from the dark and sample the beers of the light side.
Tonight's starter is a beer for the hop heads. Something which, until recently, I'd have described as far too floral and wanted little more to do with.
It's juicy on the nose, hazy on the eye, well carbonated with soft flavours up front and a complex astringent after taste.
Can't shake the feeling that I should be drinking it in a summer garden though.

Main course.
I'll admit it, it was the bottle and minimalist labels that got my attention. The mention of coriander and liquorice in the description hooked me. I love both of these flavours.
I think I can just make them out, don't think I'd have called them if I wasn't looking for them though. Not a beer I'd buy again, but I wouldn't be adverse to being given a few empties!

First taste of my Adnams Broadside clone, I made a split batch, one with Adnams yeast which with an OG of 1.069 finished at 1.030 which was quite a bit under target but still made 5.1% it's a bit young yet but against expectations it tastes extremely nice, fruitcake flavours with a little chocolate in there.
The second batch was with Ringwood yeast, I forgot the whirfloc with this brew and this has not cleared at all despite using Chitosan at bottling, it may need a long conditioning period or may fail completely, though this one finished at 1.012 which gives 7.5% when I dare to try it.
 
I'm having a bit of my imperial stout, I think I can finally pick out all the additions, chocolate, whiskey, oak, vanilla and maple. It is also drinking lighter on the palate now and has decent carbonation.
