I'm off work tomorrow so having a Belgian themed evening starting with this Orval clone, followed by my lemon saison American IPA (wait, is that the right way round?), and a quad currently chilling for afterwards acheers.

A pleasant surprise while judging the dark beer month competition. @cellarbrew Saison.
Pours a deep golden colour with good carbonation, nice light white head which last the full glass. A nice well balanced beer the yeast character isn't jumping out of the glass. Slightly spicy, not as dry as previous Saison I have tried. Nice bitterness, very good clarity.
I would be interested to see what yeast you used and the numbers you hit. Thank you for sending 👍👍

Have you started judging?

First off IPA, English, 70 IBU really tasty. Second a Pacific Pale Ale, Magnum bittering then all Galaxy through to the dry hop. Only pale ale malt and wheat malt, first attempt I added crystal and mashed higher, as it was brewed for my neighbour we called it the Pale Ale Fail. This one is closer to the mark but we both prefer the Pale Ale Fail. Just goes to show its hard to make a poor beer, even if it was the biggest stuff up since Olaf the Hairy, High Chief of all the Vikings, accidentally ordered 80,000 battle helmets with the horns on the inside. Its Friday thankfully and I‘m off work for two weeks so starting things off with a glass of my attempt at Summer Breeze. Despite having a bit of a disaster when I kegged this (dry hopping with pellets and narrow dip tubes do not mix) Ican see why so many people are brewing this. I’m also enjoying the colder weather which is leaving my utility room at the perfect temperature for Bee.

Cheers and a happy Friday

That’s a nice compliment - thank you!

Bizarrely, I don’t have any Summer Breeze to drink right now. :confused.:

A pale malt and Saaz SMaSH (this is the fourth iteration, almost got it perfect!)

And a 100% Munich with Challenger & Cascade (initially brewed to use up what I had left before getting some new stuff, but it's actually really tasty).
