Made a comment in passing to my wife this morning that I now have about 40L of beer in fermenters, another 20L in secondary and both corny kegs on the go.

Her reply - 'I think you should get more corny kegs - order them now and we'll call it an early birthday present'

 praise be!!!! :D

The question is - what does she want?? :wha:

Be afraid, be very afraid there will be bloody big strings attached. :hmm: :hmm:

If a woman suggests that you by something for your benefit, it usually means that she wants to buy something with a value that has at least three noughts added to the end of the value of the item you bought.

I payed my self a dividend out of my business once (the only and last time I may add) and SHMBO bought a new car three days latter to the same value. She didn't even let me buy anything and I don't even get to drive the dam thing.

OUCH !!

My wife lets me buy what I want for the brewery. She works on the principle that it's me that earns the money, so if I want to spend it I can.

Of course I need to ensure she has a new kitchen when required and a Credit Card in her pocket which she can abuse, but apart from that she's quite undemanding.

Last time that happened to me SWMBO decided to celebrate 30 years of marriage we would go on a cruise :? Eventually we went, I was dragged very reluctantly ....

then had a whale of a time  can't wait for the next one, never enjoyed a holiday as much in years

other than that she never complains about spending, in fact she suggested my new car 2 years ago, so I think as far as SWMBO goes ...... I got a good one :D

@Baz Chaz, going on a cruise? just make sure that the captain isn't Italian! :thumb:

 don't think there'd be any skipper of any nationality who'd be dumb enough to try that stunt again in a hurry (ie sailing off course too near the rocks ) :nono:

anyway, I don't mind boats, I can swim a bit ;)

don't like aeroplanes, I can't fly an inch  :thumb:

i'm the king in my castle and i can do whatever i like ,when ever i like ,it's real lonely these days though....... no joking but she is very good to me .She loves me brewing beer just wish i had a garage or a cellar but the spare room is doing ok. I take it she reads this, then

my swmbo bought me a few cornies also bought me grains she even agreed for me to convert the brick shed into a brewery lol not sure if that was just to stop me fermenting in the kitchen lmao but the latter hasnt payed off for her its too cold down there till i can build afermenting cupboard

As a wife not only do I brew the beer and let him drink most of it but I also let him put my motorbikes in the front room sometimes when the need arises, saves scrapes on the paint work.

So I say what a husband that fetches and carries as I need for the homebrew and who keeps my historic motorbikes in full fettled order so that I can just hop on and bike to my hearts content whenever I want to.

I think its just give and take.

I'm also lucky with the missus. She loves the brewing and the beer and will even harass me into brewing if the supply starts looking low. Only time I wished she drank more wine than beer was when she drank me under the table at spring thing.
