Popped out to get a circuit breaker for the new brewery ring main and stickers for switches. And my newly built engine in the landy developed a bloody big tapping/knock, so called in my mates at 10 to have a butchers and 8 hours later most of the bottom end of the engine has been stripped and rebuilt had several engine specialists look at it. and we're all none the wiser. So sorry WEZ your birthday ride in it won't be happening for another couple of weeks.
It needs taking out and fully stripping to find the problem as it's nothing easily accessible.
Thank god for good mates though we have come up with a solution for his and my motors were doing a engine swap shop.
His 3.9 injection V8 will go in my landy and a diesel engine I have in the garden ( yes I have 4 engines in the Garden! And gearboxes!) will be going in his. At no cost to either of us, giving me time to strip down my noisey engine to find the problem.
I need a beer! So I have a bottle of Big Kenny and Tubby's forum brew to drown my sorrow's for tonight :drink: :drunk:

Sorry to hear about the engine mate :(

Let me know when you get back on track :thumb: My STIG suit hasn't arrived yet anyway, so we would have had to have postponed anyway

I'm saying a Month... But the ard part will be rewiring for the ecu's and new g'box mounts be warned this will be rocket it has about 200 bhp. I'm going to mount the rally camera in it I want to see your face on takeoff then it can go all over u tube!

I want to cry after all the hour's I have put into it. Oh well time to move on and I get a better engine for free!!! Then I shall strip out this engine and find the culprit.
