I bottled my zeitgeist clone the other day and I've got my brown Ale to bottle this weekend, the thing is I've got the grain to do a milk stout but Ive reached what you call critical mass, aka once the brown is packed all 350ish bottles in my garage will be full
Well that was until I was browsing on Gumtree last night, I picked up 11 dozen new and unused bottles today for £15, billy bargain, no scrubbing required straight in with the starsan and I'm back in business! I think I need to drink more now.

its always nice when you have so much beer you don't have space for anymore :thumb:

Keep testing everything and never rest on your laurels. :nono:

What if one of the batches tastes terrible and you have to give it away?

Great news though! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Dutto is right. It only takes a few times to let your guard down and then you notice your down to your last dozen. Truly scary sight.

Oh I do test regularly to try and keep on top of the problem believe me Dutto :) the thing is since going AG Biab first, and now with the GF I'm enjoying the process so much. I've put 5 brews on in 7 weeks it's impossible to keep up!

If you stay sober enough to keep on brewing then obviously you aren't drinking enough!

It's a th therapeutic thing too making g beer. At first for me it was a bit stressful. But it's now more regular. My misses is now more understanding about me hogging the kitchen for six hours, especially since I've brewed her last three chosen brew clones. No

Of course regular testing of any batch you've bottled is one of the 10 brewing commandments.

Tsk tsk dutto, giving your bad beer away.

(Puts name down on avoid bottle swaps from list )

I've decided I'm going to brew this milk stout then have a sort out and a good old think I reckon :)

Most of my strong ales are Brewferm kits and to be fair I did them to long term condition so they can go on one side as planned, there's about 150ish of those including my extract RIS.

Then there's the kit stuff, about another 150ish Wherry, coopers stout, Cwtch, NZ Pilsner, an extract best bitter and the extract black IPA, they're what's getting hammered this summer to reduce the stock!
I've got 4 dozen extract dead pony club clones which I need to get to work on asap because I'm convinced they've got an underlying infection, they're in my grolsch bottles which once contained an infected evildog DIPA. I should have ovened the bottles, hey-ho:(

That looks like the start of a plan:thumb: I've been brewing a year and I've realised that brewing strong isn't necessarily brewing clever. I've recently ramped back my abv closer to the styles I'm brewing, I just need to get to grips with the super efficiency of the GF, still learning there.

So no more brews after this weekend till a load of this is gone. By then the AG zeitgeist clone, brown Ale and the milk stout should be well conditioned and lovely,. I'll be able to sort my empties into orderly rows and sleep better at night! I might even move on my 5 boxes of plastic coopers bottles now I've got all this glass.

I can't brew quick enough since I got my brew fridge. I can only do 23l per fortnight. I perhaps drink too much

I do a week in the fridge till it's finished then a week in a cool spot to clean up before I bottle so I can brew each weekend if I want to.

Yes, you need to keep at it. I haven't been forced to buy bottled beer for about 5 years. Apart from the obvious quality control purposes! Think I fancy a Saison next week in the hope that the weather warms up again. First I'll pour one that I made in April:drink:

I need a garage or shed then I can fit 2 fermentor fridges. At the minute I've slotted it in nicely where in the airing cupboard after immersion no longer there
