webcam problem

i've just installed a labtec webcam, about 5 years old, am using vista, i installed the camera, and it was ok with the installation, however, when i try to capture a image, or use it, it says that no camera is connected to the computer....however, if i go to the device manager, its in there, and reported as working properly!

Has anyone idea as to whats the problem with this??

Been doing my head in for 2 hrs now!!!

no id on the camera, the only clue i have is the installation disc, webcam 6.0.1...personally, now i look at the disc, saying 2004, i think it just might not be compatible with vista, am prob better of with a new one!

it should still be ok to use on VISTA, just go to LABTECS website and up date your drivers.
