Hi all, have just done calculations to treat my water,it calls for 39.5ml crs, 3.16 grms gypsum to mash,7.36 gypsum to boiler, 4.07gms table salt, all which i have. 4.06gms epsom salts, .86gms calcium chroride which i dont have, should i put in what i do have including table salt or just crs and gypsum,

if the water treatment calculator says you need it then generally do need to add it just be aware some chemicals are added to your mash and some to the boil :thumb: Put in what you have but get the right stuff next time

thanks for your reply mark,i realise that i should put in what the calculater says but i dont have any epsom salts or calcium chloride should i only put in what i have ie CRS gypsum & table salt.

cheers Wendy, will get the other ingredients for my next brew, noticed on the calculater that chalk may be needed to be added at times,i have precipitated chalk from when i made cider, is that the same.
