Wanted: Stainless Kegs - for Keggle Conversion

As the Title says. Looking for some stainless 50l kegs to convert into an electric Keggle.

I got torn a new one (doubled up on) on a Facebook brewing group for saying this. Apparently it’s quite easy to obtain one legally but nobody ever gave me any links (apart from saying “just Google it” which, surprise surprise, only gave me a link to Kegwatch). I keep out of these conversations now.

However this makes up such a low percent of the transactions it could be seen as an illegal trade.

I don't want to cut open an new keg & its a 400 mile round trip for the latter.

As you say no one is going to spend over £100 and cut a brand new keg open so there is a demand for stolen kegs.

I wouldn't touch anything on ebay, unless i missed it there is no proof they are his to sell.

As this subject comes up occasionally i will leave this for members new and old to read.

Key kegs are meant to be single use aren’t they? In which case the breweries won’t want them back.

I’m also not sure if they’d melt if made into a keggle.

That’s what I was thinking but wasn’t sure if they could reuse the outer shell and re bag them.
