Vinegar smell from fv

Started an APA 12 days ago. The gravity has dropped to 1008, but the fv smells of vinegar and the beer is really cloudy. Tastes fine though. Was hoping to rack to a secondary fv to let it drop. Is this a good idea or should I bottle it asap and hope it's not infected.
