Looking for recommendations of decent Places to get a beer in Vienna.

Plus. Also watch the World Cup. This is a twice rearranged pre COVID trip that will now clash with the world cup quarter finals.

To complicate things a bit further the couple we are going with are not big fans of beer or football but as they are dragging us out to spend a morning Watching some type of dancing horses they’ve left me to organise the evening!

so is there somwehere that offers both pleasant surroundings, nice food and ideally good beer and will show the football?

anyone=out there have a good knowledge of the city?

Looking for recommendations of decent Places to get a beer in Vienna.

We went there a few years ago. No specific advice, but a lot of the bars in the city centre do a good selection of Austrian beers. I was happy wherever I found myself.

ps. What do they call Vienna lager in Vienna?

Is it not as simple as the style of lager that has been (and still is) traditionally brewed in Vienna? Same with Vienna malt - it's the malt profile historically used in brewing lagers in vienna?
