My wife has just arrived home with the kit. Not really a cider man and it states will keep 20 days, not sure I want a pint a night for 20 days on the run.

But without opening it may say more inside it states room temperature which could be 16 ~ 26 degrees. In the summer my beer needs around 18.5ºC and for this I need the brew fridge, I have a couple waiting now so don't want to unwrap if it needs the fridge I will wait until fridge is free.

48 hours seems so wishful thinking, any comments. My cider has been reverse normally they take 6 months.

But the drink within 20 days is the bit I am uncertain about. Should it not keep longer? Beers I think of 20 months not 20 days?

With such short fermenting and storage times I would expect it to be a very low alcohol cider.

If it is, it may be just the ticket for a BBQ with friends on a hot summer day. :thumb: :thumb:

PS

If it's this one ...

... then there is no mention of a limited storage time, the fermentation is given as 10 days and at an ABV of 4.5% it hardly falls into the "low alcohol cider" bracket.

If it's this one ...

... then it does give a 48 hour fermentation time (disputed by one reviewer) but can't find an ABV and the product has mixed reviews.

In synopsis - "Good luck!"
