Mine has been going 6 weeks! A week ago it was at 1.010. I was going to check it today but ran out of time. It has sat from 22c when fermenting vigorously down to a constant 20c since.
Before wasting the hops I’m going to have a taste to check for off flavours.
This seems to be an issue with this kit. I sent an email to Youngs a few weeks ago, seeking advice when it seemed to stall completely (in spite of a gentle rousing). I got no reply so I stirred up the whole of the trub. This restarted a slow, gentle fermentation. I’m not impressed with the reliability of the kit, but neither am I impressed with Youngs’ customer service.
