I've noticed that a lot of us are frugal types who dislike waste. As such, I like to not see things unnecessarily go in the bin.
I recently made some wine for Christmas out of mincemeat. Today, after seeing the leftover fruit in my fridge for far too long, I decided to make a quick fruit cake. Here is the link to the recipe I used. All I did was replace the fruit with my leftover mincemeat. Because the fruit was already quite hydrated, I didn't feel the need to summer the fruit.
