Hey all

I was wondering if Isinglass and Polyclar could be used at the same time in the 2nd FV to help clear both excess yeast and chill haze at the same time?

I keep in the FV for quite a while so dont have so much if a problem with yeast in my bottles, but I do like my beer nice and cold so it would be nice to eliminate any chill haze :)

Not at the same time . . . I tend to use Polyclar 730 Plus 48 hours before using Isinglass, and just stir the isinglass into the top few inches of the beer so as not to disturb the sediment . . . . 24 hours later I can rack off the clear beer, although I do prefer to leave it 48 hours.

All this is done at around 2C to assist polyclar working

I have some Polyclar - just labelled as that, no 730+, it says something about using 10 mins before finings but no really clear instructions. Would you be able to go through how you use the Polyclar and Isinglass together in a bit more detail please Aleman...when I get home on friday I'm likely to be doing this to an APA.

So has this got to be the way to go for the pilsner I was going to start just after Chirstmas?
