Using a (Food Safe) bin bag to line the FV

People are always coming up with odd/unusual/innovotive brewing idea. I came across this one on HBT. To save himself a few mins cleaning the FV he lines his FV with a food safe bin liner

Seems like a good idea and i bet it stops FV's leaking CO2 at the joint between lid and FV.

It would also be good if you fancied having a go at a lambic style so you didnt contaminate your FV

Good point, what i meant was there are lots of threads about members airlocks not bubbling, the usual reply is the FV is not airtight therefore CO2 is finding an easier way out than going through the airlock, the plastic liner would in theory make the lid a better seal on the FV and the airlock would then show signs of fermentation taking place.
