Hello,

I'm sat here procrastinating instead of doing my dissertation work and have just had a flash of inspiration. What are the pros and cons of using a dishwasher to wash bottles out instead of doing it one by one in the sink or even rinsing the bottles with sanitising fluid in the sink and then putting them all through the rinse cycle in the dishwasher?

Does anybody here do it?

Thanks,
James

Interested to know about this myself....

Going to be bottling my first stuff soon and not looking forward to the cleaning task

I store my bottles poorly, so I go over the top with cleaning.

quick soapless dishwasher run
inspect and bottlebrush if gunk
Soak with soda crystals for up to a day
inspect and bottlebrush if gunk
quick soapless dishwasher
short soak in VWP
double rinse

Good job I only do 2 gallons per batch, really.
