As you say cheap enough at that price & free delivery.........how the hell do they
do that then ???

That's not a bad buy at all. Would be a good little fermenter for a medium sized batch of TC. Might get me one of these in the new year. And it donates to charity as well. I reckon if I order this in Jan, ill have myself a mice little 14l fermenter and I will have done my good deed for the year :D

Made in the UK.

Hi Scorrie.. I bought one of those buckets way back in September and have done all my Christmas mahing in it.
I have since moved to an Argos cool box £18 or there abouts. no tap! after the mash I scoop the contents out with a jug into a mash bag inside the Oxfam bucket and batch sparge from there.

Quote from the Oxfam site:

"The plastic moulding pieces have been ground off the bottom because in many of the cultures where we work people carry buckets etc on their heads."

Blimey, Oxfam already knew that homebrewers traditionally balanced buckets of wort on their head when transferring to the boiler. Such foresight.......

Just got me bucket today.

Looks like a handy little thing, the blue top is soft plastic that snaps firmly down to create what appears to be a reasonable seal, there's a hole (with attached cover) which is for filling it up through, not as firm when in place but I reckon that's not really a major problem. Decent handle, too.

The tap is a Worthington Duval - exactly the same as the ones you can buy in the homebrew shop. I reckon I'll trial this one with some Turbo Cider after Xmas :drink:
