Not sure what owner/mods will make of this so just looking opinions

would a pass it forward thread work here?

for anyone that doesnt know what it means

if u have something you no longer need or wont use pass it on to someone who will..

caveat is they put something else up to pass on

my logic is as i know i have done it is we buy kit in and forget about it..id rather someone got use of it than bin it..

downside is what tends to happen is someone offers up good kit..a/nother accepts and can neither offer up or stalls....which kills thread

meh just a thought

I like the idea but the problem as you have pointed out is what do you do if the other person fails to keep their end of the bargain and doesn't put something up or hasn't got something to pass on?

Why not post what you have and if a member wants it he says so in the thread and sends you a PM and it is then his/hers, if they have something they can offer it if not we wait for the next offer.

We did a beerbike "tour" on my bother's stag do in Amsterdam. It sounded like an amazing idea, but was rubbish. Two of the pedals were broken so it was really hard to get it up even a slight incline. All they offered to drink was half a crate of cans of warm, cheap supermarket lager! The "tour" was going round a small part of Amsterdam over and over while the "guide" steered and said nothing. We stopped after half and hour and asked for our money back!

If you do one of these - checkout the reviews etc beforehand. Some are good and some terrible. We looked it up afterwards and there were so many bad reviews.

I enjoy cycling, and I like beer, but...
I don't think combining the two is the greatest idea.
I'm surprised it's legal, but then again it is Amsterdam.....

It's a great idea Niman but Chippy hints at the point. I'm in the building, not upgrading stage of my beer making and I've really nothing to pay it back with. I'll certainly pay it back when I'm at the upgrading stage, preferably giving it to some aspiring noob like me when you gave me the boiler.

It's much better to pass it though, rather than gathering dust. I've a pressure barrel that I will pass on when I move to Corny's but I'm not quite there yet (it's also promised to another member via PM). I also bought one of these at the weekend and I love it so I'll pass on a FV bucket to someone who has never brewed before when I buy another.

Great idea though.
