Observation 1: Never let your missus choose your beer
Observation 2: Never let your missus taste your beer

Question: How the F&%£ do Badger make their Golden Glory taste of peaches?

I don't like it, beer shouldn't taste of peaches, it's too girly (what would Al Murray think?) but it has intrigued me; no mention of hops or other gear on the label! Now the missus wants me to brew one ... 'c'mon, surely you're good enough after all that practice'.
*cough*

I like it. Does that make me a girl?
Iffin you find out a clone for it then I'd be making a batch for sure.

i wouldnt use any new zealand hops then tony, you can get passion fruit and lychee notes off riwaka ,matuka, rikau,

grapes off nelson sauvin

berries off green bullet

:D

Oh I love the fruit overtones that comes from those hops .... If you try the Golden Glory however, you'll know what I'm talking about, it's completely overpowering. I threw it down the drain.

Got this from their site:
A refreshing premium ale subtly flavoured with extract of peach. An award-winning 4.5% ABV premium ale, well balanced with distinctive bitterness and a delicate floral peach and melon aroma.

delicate moy @rrrrrse! Still, it does explain the peach!

Have you googled it Tony.
Seems like there's a few recipes out there, saw one that includes dried elderflower, can't see that giving a peach flavour though

Hey Sean
yes... someone else suggested elderflowers too ... I may try that. Thanks! To be honest, I can't see myself drinking very much of it. I've made peach wines and I love them .. but it just doesn't work in beer (IMO).
Cheers!

Barnsley brewer does a really nice elderflower brew, the recipe could be in the recipes section, its nice out of the fridge.

I like Badger 'Golden Glory', there are a couple of bottles in my 'fridge as we speak.
I find it is a very refreshing drink, but I can understand why some people do not enjoy it. I could not drink more than a bottle or two in one go.

I personally think the 'fruit flavours' come from elderflower too.
