TV series on home brewers

We are a TV production company producing a series on home brewers. We are looking for people who do this as a hobby and believe their beer is better than some well known brands.

We are looking to cast a wide variety of people, from students to retired women.

The series will be a competition between home brewers with experts judging who will be eliminated each week with a prize at the end. There will be taste tests also which is why we are hoping home brewers beer will win against well known brands.

I wonder if they've really thought this through in terms of production time? I mean, it's not exactly like baking is it where you get your results there and then.

There won't be a drinkable product (well, certainly a competative product) for a couple of months after brewday... Lots longer if anyone does a lager.

The logistics of organising filming according to the brewers' schedules, even leaving aside the possibilities of stuck fermentations, the inevitable infected brew and other pitfalls seems like a cat-herding operation of some considerable complexity.

I know I wouldn't be happy having to stick to a rigid brewing timeline, especially if the aim is to produce "best ever beer" for competition.
