Good afternoon folks!

So after my c**k up on my last turbo cider brew (the one where I read the recipe wrong and put sugar enough for 25l into a 5l brew fermenter 😂😂😂)

I recalculated my quantities and started 2 new 5l brews. One with 100g castor sugar. One with none just for curiosity.
I started the brew 23/03/17 at lunchtime.
Primary fermentation whilst active for the first five days seems to have subsided and thanks to the Pectolase I acquired from Wilko it already seems to be clearing somewhat.
I'm planning to move onto secondary fermentation 06/03/17 for 24 hours then cold crashing in the garage for 1 month before tasting the first bottle. Others I would like to leave longer.
Here is the recipe I used, adjusted for 5L.

2x 5L water bottles (Tesco).
10 litres of Vitafit apple juice (Lidl).
From concentrate, 100% apple juice.
1tsp citric acid each / per gallon.
1tsp pectolase each / per gallon.
1tsp yeast nutrient each / per gallon.
10g of Superyeast by Homebrew24/7 split between the bottles.
And 100g of castor sugar only to put in one bottle and not the other by way of curiosity.

Oh course I've held back on adding all the apple juice to leave head space during primary 👍 I'll be going brim full for secondary before cold crashing.

All in all not going badly at all = ]

Although I forgot to add black tea? However I'm told this is to impart tartness which I don't believe is essential.
If so there's always next time = ]

Hope everyone is well.
I'm pondering on doing a pilsner next. With better equipment of course.

Added note.
I did make my own airlocks from food grade PVC tubing and jam jars. Works fantastically.
I found the tutorial on Instructables.

They are not pictured as I removed them due to fermentation subsiding. There is still a minute airflow gap at the top of the bottles as the lids are loose but still on to prevent debris getting in.

Ingenious. Out of curiosity, if I just whacked 5 gallons of apple juice from concentrate in to my bucket, added a kilo of sugar in and some like super yeast, what am I likely to get the ABV out to?
