Me and the missus have been fermenting some turbo cider since the 10th

the end was result was around 10% abv and very, very dry

so we decanted into a fresh demi-john and then added 1 litre of apple juice

the result is knockout - perfect cider just the way we like it - so it's all been bottled and stuck in the fridge and another batch has been started

happy days

Well done :thumb:

Just one question you say you added 1l of apple juice did you kill of the yeast with pottasium Sorbate because the apple juice will continue to ferment in the bottle a) making it dry again and b) be potentially explosive, and very carbonated.

could be an interesting answer, not an instant one so maybe he is franticly pulling them form the fridge

hi gray - yup, read a lot about potassium and sodium sorbates but also a lot about the temperatures that yeasts can live at and by putting all the bottles (bar one for an experiment in a plastic bottle) in the fridge there is no way that carbonation/fermentation can continue at these temperatures

so all should be good!
