Ok, so, my friends having a party in March and I wanted to take some home made cider. The plan is that rather than bottling it, I just take a pressure barrel of fizzy turbo cider.

What I aim to do is Ferment it in an FV, then, once finished, transfer to the pressure barrel and then use a Co2 injector to make it fizz.

Would that work? Never attempted it before so wanted to check.

Thanks

It will add some fizz, especially if you add some sugar after putting it in the barrel so that it can secondary ferment.

Problem with pressure barrels is they won't hold particularly high pressures so you can't force carbonate like you would be able to do in a Cornelius keg. Only through force carbing will you get a fizz like a commercial fizzy cider.
