Following on from my first "long" brew becoming infected and knocking my confidence I decided to get myself a dj and make a turbo cider to see how it went.
The contents of it are
3 3/4 litres of asda apple juice
1 jar of lidl "maribel" strawberry jam
1 mug of strong tea
Teaspoon of youngs super wine yeast
OG of 1.060
FG of 1.002 over 2 days
I think this is ready to bottle now but there is a lot of debris on the top ( looks like it may be the fruit out of the jam).
My question is this, am i better leaving it longer and waiting to see if the bits fall to the bottom or should I pop my tube through it and siphon the cidery goodness from below it now so I will have a half decent drink bottled for new year ( it tastes pretty good already )
Thanks in advance,
Zed.
