Trying to Improve Bottling

Some more questions....

1. Can you move the FV before bottling ? I mean I have to lift it up onto the table to bottle. Does this cause problems with the sediment ? I suppose if you rack to another container this is not too bad ?

2. In this weather it is very hard to find a place cool enough (with storage space) to condition the bottles after secondary fermentation. I realise the cool helps the yeast settle quicker. But does it adversely affect the taste if they are conditioned at room temp ?

I am also interested in No.2 as i have keged a wheery last week and bottled a golden ale yesterday. They are in my kitchen currently keeping warm for a couple of weeks but after that i will try and find room my shed but with this weather it isnt that cool.
