I'm going away for a week to a cottage with a bunch of friends. I've brewed a pale ale that I'd like to bring in a corny keg. I then intend to keep it cold in a bin of icy water and hook up the CO2 with a party tap for us to drink over the week (I'll top the water up with more icy to bring the temperature down again). What's the best way to go about this? I'm going to transfer from the fermentation bucket to the keg without cold crashing (to avoid any oxidation) and then probably leave it in my kegerator to cold crash until I'm ready to transport it.
Should I carb it beforehand in the kegerator and then transport it fully carbed, before cooling again at the cottage? Or should I leave it with only a small amount of pressure to seal it and then carb it once I'm at the cottage?
Any tips on keeping a corny keg cold for use over a week as well?
