First post,
I have made a norfolk wherry which is very nice and currently in a barrel, can i transfer this to bottles or is this a no-no?
Thanks
Jimbob

I modified my Youngs auto bottle filler using a couple of inches of 15mm inside diameter plastic tube to connect it to a barrel tap. Managed to get carbonated Dunkel into bottles and capped them whilst keeping the carbonation. Great for giving to the non-initiated, who don't know how to pour live beers without lifting the yeast base.

In summary, yes it works, and great for freeing-up a barrel.

If you think you are going to lose most of your carbonation, you can always add a little more sugar - say 2 grams per bottle. There will still be a few active yeasties around. Of course, this will add to your conditioning time.
