Hi
I picked up the book "Traditional beer & cider making" by Ian Ball, in a charity shop and I was wondering if anyone had tried the beer and ale recipes. Having only brewed from kits and wanting to be a little more adventurous the book contains recipes for 1 gallon brews that sound easy enough and would be of little financial loss if it all went wrong.
I look forward to hearing your advice and if you have any other simple 1 gallon brews I would love to find out more. I'm sorry if I've posted this in the wrong section.
Cheers

Welcome! Never heard of that book I'm afraid. Nothing wrong with doing 1 gallon brews, have a look at the "back to basics" thread(s) to get an idea of whats possible with very little investment.
