Torrified wheat - just for head?

Eyup all.
Just been wondering if adding T-wheat to the bill is simply for head retention and smoothness or does it add a flavour by it's own rights?

I find it adds flavour, me personally I like the taste, some hate it.

If you don't like the "Wheat flavour" there is always torrified/flaked barley for head retention, but dont use more than 10% else you can get a "grainy" flavour.
