Made a wow with some tesco tomato juice, had planned when it had cleared to bottle with a chilli or two in the bottle and leave for about a year

Pretty active fermentation, it's slowed down now but HALF of the demi is full of sediment!

Anybody else have anything similar happen to their wows?

Well, that's tomato juice for you!

I had something close to that bad trying to make wine with Lidl Peach Nectar

But, WHY tomato juice? Have you not read the thread about it? Apparently it's vile!

It will pack down a bit, it looks very "fluffy" in the picture.

But yeah, let us know how you go with the whole tomato wine thang...

A friend of mine has made tomato wine successfully, and it tastes nice too. The method used to avoid the pulp was to use overly ripe tomato's. Put them in a muslin bag, put that into a colander and sit the colander in a bowl in the fridge for 24 hours.
The juice that is collected is clear and that is what what is used for the wine.

What recipe/method did you use?

Oh Dear.............

MATRON BADGER HAS GOT OUT OF BED AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Badger you are a brave man see here

The Tomato wine I made smelled so badly that I lifted the outside drain cover and slung it down there because I didn't dare risk pouring it down the kitchen sink just in case it stunk the house out.

This type of wine could be used as chemical warfare against violent protesters.......it's absolutely disgusting.

I'm a big fan of bloody marys so thought I'd give it a go! I was trying to find the thread "Tom Challenge" before I started it but had no luck >.<

I'd had about 6 litres of the tesco stuff just lying about otherwise I'd've went down a different route, so far though is smells fine?!

I've my recipe wrote down and I'll put it up if its drinkable :D

Honestly so far it smells fine!
