Had my first bottle of this last night. Given that the clone recipe in the Graham Wheeler book is so simple this is a really really nice beer. Will be putting it on my to do list.

The draught version is a lot better than the bottled one. GWs recipe is very good but I prefere the one from the 2nd book to the one in the 3rd book.

Whats the difference Dennis??.

It's very slight, no black malt and extra pale, few more hops and fuggles in place of goldings. Let me know the brew length you are planning and I'll dig it out. I've also used either WLP002 or WLP005 as my preferred yeast but Whitelabs and Wyeast do a Yorkshire yeast which I would have thought would be better.

Thanks Dennis. Will be going for a 23ltr brew. No rush to sort it out mate brewery still in storage and wont be working again till May at the earliest.

I would have forgot by May Mick so

4280gms pale malt, he recomends Golden promise but I used Maris otter
39 gms Styrian goldings
32 gms Fuggles
+15 gms Goldings last 15 mins.

But why, you've already done it!

Not done the TT Landlord Jim. Hadn't even drunkm any till Saturday. Ive done Sarah Huges, Guinness, Broadside and XXXB out of the wheeler book. The rest have been forum recipie's like Big Kenny, James B's Buzbee bitter, Tubby Shaws Cupboard Imperial Stout and some stuff I made up myself.
