Thought i'd have a bit of a moan and groan about my last few days...

Firstly SWMBO has been taken into hospital, again. Shes got hyperemesis, which is basically morning sickness but all day and night for several days at a time. She has been in hospital four times already this pregnancy, last time was the week before christmas. When she came out they gave her a course of Steroids to stop it, which they did... until tuesday night. Since then she hasnt even kept water down, she's so stubborn she wont go to hospital before shes too weak to stand up :nono:

So thats bad luck number one.

Bad luck number two also started Tuesday, after work at Fiveways, on returning to the car I press the clutch pedal down...BANG. ah

The self adjusting tensioner ratchet thingamyjig went. - no car, subsequently when SWMBO decided she was bad enough to go to hospital i was stranded at work. It was also my first time being towed.. :thumb:

The guys at work have fixed my clutch problems - good bunch really, but now the seat is a bit wobbly, where they took it out and rushed to get it back in!! Still the part was only £10.

By far the worst bad luck is . . . Its the first day of the Colchester Winter Ales festival today!!

I now am faced with taking tomorrow and saturday off work- looking after nipper number one!

Things could be worse, i do have to drive past Colchester HBS on the way to the General!!

Wow - life has a way of bottle-necking problems and dropping them on you all at once! When they hit it can be like a depth charge in a cess pit :(

Glad you got it off your chest, hope all turns out OK :thumb:

Sorry to hear about your woes. Hope your wife gets over the sickness and everything works out well in the end.

All the best :thumb:

cheers guys, shes discharged herself against medical (and my) advice, not being sick now though!! She had it with the last one, just a pita.

Life goes on!

Thought i'd update my 'pregnant girlfriend illness blog' as it seems this week is going to be just as bad as last!!

Mrs CC was fine since comin out of hospital friday night, however at almost exactly 8 o clock last night she announced 'I'm going to be sick'

I have never seen someone be quite so violently ill before (not even when i got so drunk i ended up on the SOS bus wearing someone elses clothes - brothers wedding, he's still not really forgiven me!! :x )

By 1am she couldnt stand up so i called the out of hours doc for advice, they took our details and a quack called me back bout half 2 (really busy night apparently).
He said he could do very little, and as she had the 5h1t5 as well take her straight to hospital.

I dont know if anyones ever tried to get hold of a babysitter at 2.30am.. :nono: but just after 3am off we went unfortunatly to A+E. You have to be refered to the ward (obs and gynae). Even though there was only us in the waiting room there was still a 1-2 hour wait, you could see all the docs/nurses sitting chatting, but i have learnt from previous experience not to kick off when you need their help!! :hmm:

anyway we eventually get seen, bloods, bp etc etc, up to the ward drip, anti sickness drugs iv, she got her own room this time as they think she has some bug but they arnt sure!

I waited till they sorted her out, finally leaving the hospital at 5.30am, i arrived home just after 6, sent the babysitter home for some hard earned sleep!!

Did some tidying, phoned my boss at half 6 to let him know i wouldnt be in, finally at 6.45am my head finally hit my pillow... only to hear.... DADDY TIME TO GET UP!!!

why is she always full beans when i am shattered!!

so i set about doing breakfast, hooverin, washing up, took the nipper up the hospital to see her mummy!! get home, more tidying, cook tea, take her out for a walk, watch telly get her ready for bed, more tidying...I'm sure when i was a kid i didnt make this much mess...surely!!? :hmm:

and thats it, here i am now, sitting in total silence just enjoying looking at my bed...

p.s - i did manage to get an elderflower wine on the go, details to follow when i get a little less time!!

Wow, that's a great day, did you do the lottery?
Hope the missus gets better soon mate ;)

Man, when it goes wrong, it really goes wrong . . . . you really have my sympathies, and I hope things get sorted for you and your wife soon.

Just a quick update for my blog followers!

SWMBO came out of hospital wednesday, i took thursday off work just to check everything was ok.

It was Thursday evening that i discovered that it was in fact a bug she had contracted..

**If your eating proceed with caution!! **

I sat watchin telly at 5pm, feeling fine tea was cooking, all of a sudden i had to run to the bathroom...and exploded...everywhere!! (both ends)

Luckily our basin is next to the toilet, i have never been so violently ill in my entire life. The 5hit5 too, but strangely just water, no smell, no colour just water!! :? :?

after three hours i had enough, could hardly stand, its an absolute beauty of an illness!!
I wont go into too much detail, but i have had to do a lot of laundry lately!

Its nearly stopped now, but i have had absolutely no interest in eating or drinking at all, still havnt - i may get my bikini body back by summer!!

In short she's fine, i feel like absolute crap!

cheers guys!

ps if anyone is in the area and wants to pop in feel free

Sounds like Noru virus (Winter vomitting virus) And that is a real ******* . . . . .

It really washes you out . . . good when it passes . . . . . Keep yourself well hydrated and it will pass eventually
