Hi all,
Just started brewing and found the website and great bunch of videos and channels on you tube. Seems like a great, helpful community.

So far on the go we have a Coopers IPA, a good old turbo cider bubbling like mad and a Winexpert world vineyard Pinot Grigio kit happily going about its work.

I have also embarked on a cunning plan! To save money on bottles I have been drinking the local booze shop dry, as well as some not very nice stuff from Aldi that comes in great swing top bottles. It's hard, supping so much, but the sacrifices I am making will hopefully pay off.

Welcome, all aboard the messy train .

The bottle collecting is the hardest part by far, when you have plastic bottles full of home few but still pay 2-3 quid a bottle in the shops

Hi and welcome :-)
Have you considered asking your local pub nicely if you could "harvest" some of their empties some time? That would solve the bottle crisis and be a lot cheaper than buying full ones.
