You will need to convert it and also create a manifold.

Have you had a look at Vossys "How To"? It shows one of the ways to convert them.

was thinking of a false bottom above the tap

If your thinking of one above the tap you'll need to take into account all the dead space below the false bottom when calculating your strike water volumes, The bottom drain is the easiest way of converting a Thermobox :thumb:

yes i agree i dont know how far up the tap is or anything im just thinking too far ahead again ill be asking for advice when the time comes :

If you get a 50ltr Box it doesn't come with a tap so you put your own in. some sizes come with taps some don't.

I have one for sale at the moment all ready to go 50ltr with false bottom :whistle:

The size ive been looking at does have a tap i dont want to make more than 25 litres in 1 go :
