Off she took herself to get her hair fixed, and you know what they say about idle hands.
1. Batch 1 WOW racked off.
2. Wherry on.
3. Golden Ale on.
4. Batch 2 WOW with elderflower cordial on.

All done and tidied away before she got back!!!

I wonder why wives dont seem to appreciate the aesthetics of hop aromas, bottles and kegs everywhere, and the pleasures of quietly going to sleep in front of the telly after a few jars? :wha:

They are indeed strange creatures.

Although in fairness, mine complains about hops but is fairly tolerant of bottles and assorted fermenters around the place.

Most uncommonly though, mine absolutely hates the hairdressers and almost never goes, by which I'm probably talking about once in 5 years, and then she complains like hell about their prices. Occasionally trimming split ends is my job.

Nice work Kinleycat, I'm impressed :hat:

I still get me mum to cut my hair for free.
£8? I could buy beer/ homebrew gear with that!

Although I do go for a hot towel shave sometimes, that's well worth the money, £5 in the turkish barbers. Worth every penny, so relaxing.

don't want anyone near my throat with a razor thank you !

Might be worth booking her an appointment every 2 weeks Ian...... :D

Pah! You boys just have no idea. Imagine being 'the wife' who does enjoy making homebrew but doesn't drink it very quickly, who has a husband who drinks rarely and has already said 'I don't know why you don't just buy some beer' - how can I even begin to explain. He's not allowed in the kitchen in any functional sense, just to pass through, and I'm trying how to gently break the news to him that I plan to take over his garage in the next 12 months so for storage.

His trips to the barbers are infrequent, too!

no I'm a big boy...I shave myself.. Only person I'd trust.

I must be lucky - the missus loves the brewing process - i just cant keep her away from my wort.

I think I'm lucky as well. I am getting loads of support from Mrs T, including her scouting out places to store the beer!
