I've used Rob a couple of times now for hops and stuff.

I have to say what an excellent service and what a nice bloke.

25kg of Maris Otter, some crystal, some caramalt, torriefied wheat, cascade and EKG, plus a 70L shiny, ball valve and tap.

Super pleased with the postage price, and the quality of the shiny is well, just brilliant :-)

can't wait to get my next brew on :thumb:

It's erm, a tad huge

Bloomin' 'eck that's a lot of stuff.

Not used them, but a delivery from the other main sponsor (The Home Brew Company) has arrived this morning, that I ordered late Wednesday.
Great delivery and good communication too.

Delighted you get such a good service,
Clearly you do not live in the North of Scotland. :nono: Like many web sites we have to apply for a quote before we order :( . Shame, if the prices were on the site I might consider but I prefer to order online without waiting to see if they will deliver.

I use The Home Brew Shop, they deliver to me free as long as I spend £65. :D

I get the impression that Rob is a bit of a one man band and probably not in a position to offer free shipping , I think he just passes on the cost as it costs him . I have only had one very small order but got personal attention and follow up on delivery status even so . I am very pleased and impressed with his service . I may be able to get some things cheaper or less shipping elsewhere but for the small amounts IN MY CASE I would rather support a small business thats in the family . I have lived in remote places before and understand the frustration at delivery availability , let alone cost , in getting goods to you . Sorry to hear it isnt working out for you . I bet if you spoke to Rob he would be able to make things clear or help in some way - he seems lke a very approachable bloke :thumb:

Thanks Guy, your going to need a handle for that valve :wha:

Regarding the shipping, it's a bit swings and roundabouts but, I think that the fairest way is to charge the shipping at basically what it costs, that way no one customer is subsidising another. Other retailers do it differently, whilst I try to please everyone sometimes it's just not possible. Hope that goes someway to explain.

Cheers

Rob

 I did look high and low, and under the lid and under the pot - i resisted the urge to look through the 25kg sack of marris to see if you'd hidden it in there like a lucky dip along with my golden Wonka ticket (I did say Wonka)

No sweat, we are the first to complain of bad service, and we should stop once in a while to recognise good old fashioned service, it doesn't take long, but its effects can be very positive. :thumb:

I'll be back!

I've just managed to put it all away.

It's filled one 60 Litre FV, 2x 30 Litre FV's, 2 x 45 Litre Mango Chutney bins.

As for the hops, no way that lot is going in the freezr, not with all this stuff for christmas SWMBO keeps stuffing in there. She has even taken over my hop drawer in the freezer now, it's getting beyond a joke.

Oh well, there will be a kilo of Citra and some Riwaka arriving soon to keep it all company :)

I thought that was a capital offence these days! :wha:

His and Hers freezers ? For christmas ? How will Santa get them down the chimney ? :wha:

I wouldn't mind but we have a huge fridge freezer in the kitchen, exclusively hers

We have an upright freezer in the garage - hers

Plus a fridge freezer in the garage for storing lager and yeast and one drawer in the freezer for hops, she uses the other two for more food.

It's not like shes short of freezer space.
