Hello!

I live in Bristol with my wife and children and have LONG been a big fan of real ales, bitters, and Belgian beers.

Yesterday, I lost my brewing virginity and I have 5 gallons of Woodforde's Wherry brewing away in my dining room until it is ready to put in the barrel. Hooray!

Now we have 2 kids and the recession is biting a bit, we no longer want to pay lots of money for shop-bought beer and can't go to the pub much anyway.

My aspiration is to be able to get good enough to mash my own wort and make beer from scratch - who knows, maybe one day. I need to find space in the garage first!

Anyhow - that's me - the forums have already been useful in getting me started and I look forward to letting you know how I get on!

Ta for now.

Welcome P.. :thumb: It's the best place to be...

A few of the guys have Belgian beers on the go right now...been brewed in the last week or so.

Welcome P,

All grain is definately the way to go, not actually done one myself but I have observed. Its easier and a lot more forgiving than it sounds at first.
