When I first decided I wanted to try brewing, I didn't realize that so many kits were available and I thought I'd have to jump straight into something more along the lines of AG. That thought was pretty exciting to be honest, and I can't wait to make the jump.

I've been reading about making your own kit and everything for a couple of weeks, and am hoping to get slowly started on that in the new year.

However, I'm not sure how long I'll be in the UK as my research funding ends in October of 2011. I'm pretty sure that I'll be staying a bit past that to finish up some things, etc etc, but I'm not entirely sure how much longer I'll be here after that.

So, I guess my questions are:

1. Is there a market for slightly used, home-made brewing equipment? (Obviously wouldn't re-coup all cost, but would hopefully be able to get a bit back while helping someone start up with AG relatively cheap if the kit is made well)

2. Or should I just wait until I get back to the states and get some kit experience under my belt in the meantime?

The choice is yours to be honest Stubbs.

There is a very healthy market for used kit......most things will be readily snapped up at a fair price.

If you are making it yourself I reckon you could cover your costs if it was well looked after and you had built it well.. :thumb:
