They did it, the locals along with a little help from some friends, such as Robert Plant, Midge Ure, The Darkness, Peter Gabriel, Clare Teal, The Stranglers, Portishead et al, have raised enough money to buy The Bell pub in Walcot St Bath. This is great news, it saves an iconic pub from a faceless brewery organisation or worse, it means live music can continue, independence can be maintained, giving greater choice of what is sold.

Just GoogleMapped it, seems I've never drunk in that one.
 
Long way from Todmorden! my in-laws live in Silsden! Well worth the trip though, there's a few other nice boozers there too. if you're in Radstock its worth a night out. Live music Mon, Wed Sun (lunch), and Open Mic Thurs...
