Hey guys,

I tend to ask alot of questions as I'm pretty new to all this plus there's lots of tips and tricks I've picked up along the way too.

Seems like whenever I post a topic there's always someone with a bit of knowledge and its always friendly advice.

So just wanted to say thanks!

Hopefully try and help out now too as I learn more with this brewing malarkey.

That's what we're here for :thumb: There's a wide range of experience on here all willing to share with new and old members glad the forum has been helpful

Love it round here, there's always someone who'll help with a recipe, tip, advice, you've only got to ask :thumb:

Totally agree,

I knew little about brewing with kits and nothing at all about AG brewing, yet now after only 10 months im all kitted out to AG brew and takle any kit with 100% confidence thanks to everyone on here

I'll make a contribution from the winemaker's side of the family... there's never a problem that doesn't get answered from a core of incredibly knowledgable gentlemen or ladies in the winemaking area; my knowledge has increased ten fold since joining here to the point where some of my newbie questions are now being asked again and I feel confident enough to answer them. Circle of life. A good friend of mine has just been bitten by the bug and the first bit of advice I gave him was to sign up here and say hello!!!

I'll join this "love in" too...

A year and a bit ago I was contemplating making some beer just to save some money really. The advice, both in the archives and in real time from the contributors has meant that I've now produced nearly a thousand bottles of progressively better beer (and cider and ginger beer and now wine...), have learned loads and gained so much confidence in my ability to brew stuff that I'm happy to serve to other people.

As I make the transition through BIAB AG to full 3 vessel AG I know that I'll be able to count on more support, advice and help from you lot who have been through it all and learned the lessons.

I remember a while back there was a thread (I don't want to use the word but I can't think of a better one) bemoaning the drift away of AG brewers from the forum and the tidal wave of newbie kit ale and lager brewers joining the fold. Don't know if it's just me but it seems that over the last couple of months a decent number of those noobs who joined around the same time as and some after me have taken the plunge or are actively building towards AG brewing. It strikes me that this can only be down to the enthusiasm and passion for their beer of the AG hardcore and them sharing the Gospel According To Grain.

It has, I reckon, turned out so far from the potential "swamped by the casual kit brewer" outcome so as to stand testimony to those in that thread who said, "It's not where you start brewing, it's where you take it." So with all these new grainies are we soon to see a raft of new styles and recipes as we all get experimenting? I certainly hope so and hope I can contribute a few myself as I gain more experience.

Oh, and the banter isn't too bad either... :thumb:

Yup this hobby is rather addictive isn't it and when people realise AG isn't as difficult as it may seem, the 'leap of faith' isn't such a big step after all........ but the results are ;)
