Testing Alcohol Content

I am currently brewing a batch of Nettle Beer but even though I increased the quantities by 50%, it wasnt deep enough to use my hydrometer and I dont have a test jar! Is there any way to test the resulting brew for abv?

If you know the volume and amount of fermentables in it, you can make a reasonable estimate. What was the recipe?

1 gallon of nettles

18oz sugar

1 1/2 Lemons

3 lbs of Malt

1/2 oz of root ginger

1 1/2 oz of Dried Hops

1 1/2 gallons of Water

1 1/2 Tbsp Yeast activated
