Well went to my local Tesco extra and they have stopped stocking homebrew stuff.

Worst thing is they didn't have a sale it just disappeared.

Will be supporting my home brew store even more now!

I was in my local Tesco extra just today looking to see what they had a couldn't find anything either

Couldn't find a member of staff who knew what was happening about it,

There was a sale, details were in the relevant forum here... kits were £3 or something like that, if I remember correctly. But you had to be quick!

Not gone in mine but the selection has reduced. Looks like they may be phasing it out. It also moved in the store so check it's not on the end of an aisle or something.....

If true this is bad news, however I checked a couple of weeks aog with a member of staff in my local store and was told that they don't stock it store in the summer. They will restock in store during the winter or otherwise order on line and pick it up from them in store.

Looks like a trend our local Morrison's has stopped doing kits. Staff cannot understand why they were good sellers. Mind Morrisons in Coventry has just been refurbished and gone a bit up market
Cheers. Col.

Mine stopped over night about 6 months ago, but a few weeks ago they brought out a load of kits at silly prices. I picked up 8 for 3quid each.

They've been clearing them out 1 shop at a time. Bromborough had a sale a couple of months ago. They were selling everything at such rediculously cheap prices it would sell in minutes. I bought loads half way around the shop thought "why not get a few more" but someone had cleared the rest out in the meantime, it was that quick

They probably realised that it was affecting the sales of the 'fizzy pop' in cans, from messers J*hn Sh*te and C*rling.

All it will mean is that those who have started homebrewing and are committed will use a LHBS or online supplier which can't be bad really. :thumb:

At higher price so another incentive of going into dark side too... Bad things turned into good. ;)

I pop in most days to mine to look for sales but so far nothing. I try to use my LHBS even if it's couple of quid cheaper because of the advice the guy gives.
