tesco high juice i got 4 bottles then boiled for 10mins then added 2kg of surar threw in the fv and added 4 gallons of water, cup of tee, nutriant, pectolase then yeast and its bubbling away has any one done used high juice before and how was it ?

488g sugar per 1l bottle, then added 2kg of sugar and hydrometer was reading 12.5%.

6 days later......

today i took a reading and it was bang on .990 so i put in 3 campden tabs and 2 teespoons of stabiliser 2 stop fermentation. and its still bubbling away could it go beyond 0.990?,as my hydrometer stops at that and also will it make it stronger, taste test from 1.000 was nice strong wine with the slight taste of blackcurrant went down nice then a big after taste of burnt blackcurrant..(maybe boiled at to high at heat) (also i prefered this taste as it was soooo tasty) and at .990, strong, goes down nice with nice taste small hint of blackcurrant and aftertaste to a verry minimum.

in 5 days time its going in to a 2nd fv so it isnt sitting on the yeast and sedament. then sit in that fv for 1 to 2 weeks till clear then bottle .i think with age this one will be a great wine, drinkable already but i will give it 3 weeks to a month and try again
