Hi all.

Ive had a TC with frozen fruit in a DJ since sunday. Listening to advice from a previous post, i am planning on siphoning the TC into another DJ tomorrow, to get rid of the fruit. My only reservation is that the TC is still quite airlock active. Am i ok to siphon without disrupting the fermentation or shall i wait until it all dies down?

You’re fine to rack it whilst it’s still bubbling, the yeastie beasties won’t mind. It can sometime get them a bit excited and they fizz a little bit more but you should be fine. I normally leave my brews (more mead than anything) until there’s a good layers of lees on the bottom before racking.

I’ll be honest, I’ve not made TC in YEARS! And never a fruit one so unsure of how long to leave but if you want to take it off lees or bit of floaty fruit you won’t disrupt the fermentation by doing so.
