Last week I received a bottle of a Pelforth clone sent to me by a forum member...IPA. So after letting it settle after it's trip, I got it ready along side an original bottle of the said brew.

I opened the one from IPA first, it was carbonated well, poured nice with a good creamy head.

Taste was spot on, very very close to the real thing. Next was the turn of the brew that I've loved for a long time.

Well Pelforth is a malty beer, when I opened it the "fizz" was not up to the clone brew...after a few mins the head was almost gone.
IPA has sent me the recipe and I got hold of the grains & hops a few weeks back, so now I will be able to have a go myself...
How did the clone stand up against the original?......

Well done IPA

I've just brewed this beer and it's just finished in the the primary fermenter. It's promsing to be a good one. Thanks again to IPA for the recipe
