Hello all
Will it make a vast difference to the finished article, swapping the yeast, for example,in an American ipa from us 05 to a gervin/Nottingham? I have few brews that I'm drinking...two with Nottingham and one with "American west coast ". The first two have very high flocculation and the whole bottle can be poured giving a clear pint. The American yeast has to be poured more carefully...

Cheers

Clint

you wont get the same dry crisp finish with notty as you get with us-05, so it would have an impact however it may be a positive impact?

There are differences between notty and US-05 but they're both clean yeasts (US-05 more so) but I would say you could use notty for an AIPA. Just ferment the notty as cool as you can (notty can be fermented down to 14C whereas 05 cant) to get the best results
