Had a good brew day today, all went without a hitch, nothing went wrong, nought, nadda, ziltch. Was a little worried i might have forgot something :lol:


Recipe Specifications

Batch Size: 23.00
Estimated OG: 1.048
Actual OG: 1.052
Estimated Color: 8.3 EBC
Estimated IBU: 45.4 IBU
Brewhouse Efficiency: 75.5 %

Boil Time: 90 Minutes

Ingredients:

5.00 kg Pale Malt, Maris Otter (4.9 EBC)
40 gm Challenger [7.50 %] (90 min)
21 gm Fuggles [3.90 %] (90 min)
10 gm goldings [5.00 %] (15 min)
10 gm Fuggles [3.90 %] (15 min)
40 gm Fuggles [3.90 %] (30 min Steep)
14 gm very old dried elderflower steep
S-04 yeast


One thing i did notice is the first third of the cooled wort was very cloudy, but ran crystal for the rest. Has anyone played with recirculating the wort?

All in all, very happy, should be bitter and hoppy, nice
 
Looks a great recipe, love the Challenger up front!

Never recirculated after boil as I'm not too worried about any cloudiness, it usually drops out with the yeast in the FV.

my wort is nearly always cloudy :lol: but the yeast normally sorts it out :? Great looking recipe have you ever used US-O5 it would really enhance that brew :thumb:
